When the Delhi Boy's Music meets his Alcohol!

"Bhenchod! Tu janta nahi hai, mera baap kaun hai?" as crass as that sounds nine out of ten people who have ever interacted with a Delhi Boy have heard this line. It comes in many tones there is the drunken version and then there is the boistorous version. Yet there is something stereotypically Delhi associated with that line. For my two foreign readers who stumbled on this blog looking for Shakespeare but got fuck all! Welcome and this translated for you in essence means "Don't fuck with me cause you don't know who my dad is?" (Essentially reiterating the fact that they are not well endowed!). Ironically I'm a Delhi Boy, dissing on other Delhi boys but hey I've always said embrace the stereotype because that essentially can be really fun at times. With regard to what we are here to discuss today is the essential evolution of the Delhi boy from before Alcohol to after. There are many who would disagree with what I have to say and be like that is not true for all, I agree but again I reiterate we are not here to discuss the exception to the rule (as would be me and some of my friends with regard to the "Tu janta nahi hai" dialogue). So I give you the five stages of evolution for almost every Delhi Boy.

Disclosure: At no point in this blog am I tearing down any form of music, I am solely mocking the stereotype that is the Delhi Boy!

Stage 1:- ( 1 - 2 Pegs of Whiskey, [Dilli hai BC! , Vodka ki ma ki])

This in essence is the relaxed stage where the boy is like "Yeah man! I was at Blue Bar last night, they were playing some really chilled out shit bro!" Yet at this point he will also tell you that he spent shit loads of his dad's money and got hammered. He will be like "lets listen to some chilled out Deep House and like get a whiskey, dude" At this point the Discussion will also be about the following depending on age of the Delhi Boy - Where he partied, With Whom he partied, Who he knows to party with, How much his clothes (fake Lajpat Nagar knock off that he is trying to pass off as originals) are worth.

Where he's planning to holiday (BC has not been further than Gurgaon, or Guru, Insta, Kilo,-Gram as they would have it called) and the most obvious one, the solid idea of his start-up which his dad has already told him to go fuck off with. The music at this point is chilled out he knows every song that is playing and will update you on more related music which his friends have casually put into conversation and he has never heard, or found out about his self. Well at this stage he is bearable, but anyone who has had to put up with two hours of this shit would have most likely kicked his ass by now. Hey! but what's Delhi without a fight breaking out every now and then?

Stage 2:- ( 3 - 4 Pegs of Whiskey)

Tiesto, Avicci, Armin Van Buren (Is that how you spell this?) and a million other Eastern European names will come out now, sort of like that Fake accent he's been trying to use but we all know it is only time before everyone is a MC or BC (Dear White, Chinese, Black and Latino folk please contact your nearest brown person for an explenation as to what is a MC and how one can become a BC).At this point he is cool, he is fly, his hands are doing the dance, his motto is "Eat, Sleep, Rage, Repeat"(Except on Tuesdays and Thursdays!), he's ready for the Selfies, because apparently you are suppose to take that first ? He's down with the DJ's and Tomorrow land is in his backyard only bro!! He Loves that EDM shit bro, and he had Honey Singh blasting just 10 minutes back, but hey "Hiz Lyf, Hiz Rulz".  "You don't get it bro, this guy is epic bro!"

Stage 3:- (5 - 6 Pegs of Whiskey)

At this point our fun Delhi boy is inebriated enough to start showing his true colours. This is where he wants to hear his "Snoopy Doggy Dog" and almost every one is "His N**ga" (Hey! to all my black friends reading this, I'ma witchu let's go find that douche!). At this point his conversation is getting deeper, not in an emotional sense but there is some deep rooted stupidity fighting its way out slowly! At this stage he is the worlds best iPod DJ! He is the Jazzy Jeff of the iPod Dock and he got this shit covered! This is not bad music, it's just that as many time as you play Drake it's not going keep you any less at the bottom, you are still going to be there! Conversation at this time has started getting urban, and why not He's seen Pulp Fiction so many times, Sam Jackson should be calling him to find out what they call a "Quarter pounder with Cheese in France", Yes he Double dares you too! But hey at least he's more bearable now!

Stage 4:- (6 - 7 Pegs of Whiskey)

Welcome to the Karaoke session of the night! At this point, As with what can be seen at any point on the Animal Planet, he has found his heard, pack, posse, unkindness or what ever you call a group of "Delhi Buoys"together! They are all ready to kill it! Tonight they are Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons but without the talent. The music is blaring hits of the nineties and two thousand and he 's got his groove going! He's about to lay down some old school Backstreet Boys tracks and kill those high notes like the love child of what you would get if you Scratch Nails down a blackboard! He's all about the love now! He loves everyone and everything including the "Apple Pie" (#MovieReference)! He can't figure out who is who but he loves them none the less! Hey which on a deeper level, that the Delhi boy might fail to understand or comprehend (Please provide the Delhi boy closest to you with a dictionary to look up the meaning of the same) but loving everyone is awesome!! Spread the love! He's got the dance moves to back with when "Quit playing games with my heart" is played and will be on his knees for the chorus just to add to the effect! This is actually the fun stage at which one should be around the Delhi Boy

Stage 5:- (8 - 9 Pegs of Whiskey)

If the the Delhi boy is still alive at this stage, please give him a prize like a glass of water or a bucket depending on the situation. Those this is the most interesting part of the night cause this can go either way. At this point he could also go way negative and we all know one thing we can count on is that all problems aside Delhi boys (Again going with the rule, not the exception to the rule) wear their heart on their sleeves. It take very little at this point for them to react negatively to something and in most cases takes a friends of their's to sort out the situation and get them back to normal, but well that guy is boring! Let's talk about the fun Delhi guy again!! Let's talk about the guy who has thrown caution to the wind and gotten ready to move on, this guy is now ready to do what he wanted all night long but had is inhibitions up!  He's ready! He's in Control, He has gotten all the knowledge one would need for such a mission! He has opened YouTube,he got to the search bar, he has found his track! This song completes him, he feels one with the song! This song is the spinach to his Popeye, this song is the Pippen to his Jordan (which actually sounds a little dirty too), this song is what the Fantastic Four - Reboot should have been.

So in conclusion I give you the song that completes the experience that is drinking with a Delhi boy!

Though I have to say it could be this too.....

Kicking it Old School in the Gym

Welcome 2016 you beauty! How you doing ? (Imagine Joey from FRIENDS) . Happy new year everyone! As with most people globally everyone has made the vow that is only as strong as how quick you can break it, yes that dreaded new years resolution.

As with most resolutions you have the usual "I will lose weight", then there is "I will quit smoking" (that one ends 2 hours into a work day). My personal favourite "I will quit alcohol and start gymming" Yes! and I will find gold and marry Emma Watson but neither is happening so what you gonna do? Yes if you are the rare creature who is actually able to stick to their resolution because of you true self-control or because you actually don't have a social life because of work (Like Your's truly) then congratulation! Yes ladies and gentlemen I have decided to start gymming seriously and it is going great. I'm still fat but the guilt is less and I have more excuses to finish that last doughnut, "I need carbs I'm lifting weights" *Crickets* "SHUT THE FUCK UP!", anyways back to the point. So as with any gym goer each has a different requirement, You have the professional who only cares about using the machines and making his body bigger, then you have the gym goer who is there because it's a good way to socialise - in other words, get the attention of the opposite sex or same sex, how ever you roll! - I on the other hand am the novice, I go use the treadmill for 35 minutes and then wing it!
Yes I know it doesn't make sense, but that's how I feel!
Yet that 35 minutes gives me lots of time to think about shit, you truly influential matters plaguing our society, matters such as will the Houston Rockets make it past the first round of the playoffs, how exactly did stella get he man back, how long does one wait before texting a girl whose number you just got, and the truly import matter will Leonardo DiCaprio finally get that oscar. Yes I know some truly gripping shit right there.

Between all these absolute world changing thoughts I get a chance to listen to some of the music the gym feels will pump up people to work out harder, because one thing I have realised in my really short time on this planet. Music can really motivate you to new heights. Think about it, think about that one moment in your life where you were truly in the shit hole without an emodium or toilet paper   (Yes that is how graphic we get with this!) and the song you were listening too, how did it make you feel? (Tonight on Dr. Phil - Arjun asks you how did it feel ?).

As usual with any of my posts we are digressing but hey! it's my blog so in the immortal words of "The Real Slim Shady" - "F**k him and F**k you too, you think I give a damn about a grammy, half of you critics can't even stomach me let alone stand me. But Slim what if you win? why so you can lie so can sit me hear next to Britney Spears" .... Sorry I get carried away quoting Marshal. Anyways back to the post, so as any of my loyal 5 followers would know I by no means am a fan of EDM, House and any of that only computer no instrument crap which is quite common in the Gym so I usually have my earphones on while Walking or Jogging! (Yes Ladies, I can run!! CALL ME :D). I have found five songs that truly motivate me to go hard and they are as follows:-

5. Eminem Feat. Nate Dogg - "Till I collapse"

4. P.O.D. - "BOOM"

3. Papa Roach - "Getting Away with Murder"

2. Linkin Park - "By_Myslf" ( By Myself - Reanimation Album)

1. Audioslave - Cochise

There a million other songs like these, yes as I mentioned this is my blog and these are the songs that really motivate me in the gym.

In the end as long as you are in the gym and looking after your health and your self,  thats great, if not  then bring a pint of beer and come lets do some real excersize, NBA 2K16 anyone interested? Tell me more about what you listen too. Comment below!

Taking it back to the start!

Eleven, that's how old I was when it started. Let me stop you before I go any further with this. If you are thinking this will be an article on how I started a path of drugs and alcohol at such a tender age you will be disappointed. This was an addiction, which in some cases might have been more expensive than a pack of Cigarettes or Weed for that matter especially if you are trying to buy an import. Music people!, well its kind of obvious that it would be the main topic in this article it is a Music blog.

So my lovely five followers who I feel probably stopped reading my posts a long time back let me get down to the topic of my addiction. Eleven that's where my addiction with music started, though if you go by what my mother has to say my addiction started with Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" album, which is a really good album if I do say so my self, any ways back to the point.
At eleven what would most kids ask for, a new bike, a new game console or Pamela Anderson (I was eleven in 1999, give me a break and she was so fine on Baywatch), well I did ask for her but sadly I was disappointed, so I settled for the second best thing to give me happiness Music.

I had just started listening to music cause the Big kids on the bus kept talking about all these artist, I will give them credit, I was intrigued by this band called Guns and Roses. So for my birthday I told everyone I wanted Vouchers to this Music store in Delhi, in the excitement of the present I remember ditching my own birthday party early cause well the store would close and went to buy music. I think I spent close to four thousand rupees (Back in the day that was a lot of money), and I'm not saying like I bought CDs we are talking Audio Cassettes. For children reading this blog picture of an Audio Cassette can be found below.

Yes! children this beautiful piece of machinery was both epic and the most annoying shit at one point at time. Yet there was something about the sound of an Audio cassette that was so rough that it just added to the feel of a song. But I get the feeling that older the method of listening to music the rougher the sound, at least in my opinion. The other day I was at a store that also sold music (Sadly they had to diversify their portfolio, because of Music Piracy, and on-line streaming of music) THANK GOD FOR APPLE MUSIC! But we digress that's another post. So I was listening to that Guns and Roses album I was talking about earlier "Appetite for destruction" one of my all time favourite albums and the rawness of Slash on Vinyl is just beautiful. Hey Kids this is a vinyl player.

The point I'm trying to make is that if you love music, if you truly want to hear the emotions of an artist, try not to listen to a digitally remastered version of a song. Look for the original even if it's not the best sounding it's how it was actually recorded. Well not for EDM and any of that because lets face it there is no actual music in that (Come at me bro!)!

Here are my top 5 recommendations for songs to listen to without the digital remastering:

5. Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle

4. Eric Clapton - Layla

3. Ray Charles - Georgia on My Mind

2. Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love

1. Jimmi Hendrix - Purple Haze

Also guys if your town has a record store that even sells CDs please go support it! You never know when digital media will go down, so please support these stores! We need more CDs, Audio Cassettes and Vinyls in our life!

Music can change the world!

Anyone who knows me well enough knows my love for music, and how I have always felt if people spend the time getting away from the Top 40 or the commercial side of what the "media" feels you should listen to. There is much bigger message, which especially now when the world is as screwed up as it is, can help the world heal and unite us. So though not many would care for this I have come up with a List of 6 modern artist, that I feel should be listened to more often. Not for their commercial tracks but the tracks that carry a message for us, to help inspire us to be better.

1. Wyclef Jean; though many know him as the artist from the Shakira - Hips don't lie video saying "Shakira Shakira". He is more than that, he has sung song with political statements such as "Sweetest Girl", "Hold on" and most recently he teamed up with Avicii to make a track called "Devine Sorrow" for the Coca Cola Aids Free Generation.
Lyrics Sample:
"Closed legs don't get fed, go out there and make my bread
All he wanna know is (where my money at?)
She ended up in a road car, bruised up, scarred hard
All he wanna know is (where my money at?)
She thought he'd call (where my money at?)"

2. Aloe Blacc; he has built a name for himself these past few years, and if you didn't know he is the Artist on the back of Avicci's wake me up track. Going through his discography I realised that he has much to say, Especially with tracks such as "Hello World", "Wake me up" (His Version Acoustic) Talks about Immigration and problems faced, Or even "Ticking Bomb".
Lyrics Sample:
"Hello world, the sun is rising
It doesn't matter who you are, the sun still sets the same
Hello world, undivided
Don't matter if you win or lose, it's how you play the game"

3. Rise Against; this band from its Inception has been using their music to champion different social issues from Bullying of Children, to the true casualties of war. Each song is challenging a different issue to make the world aware of the problems we face. Songs such as "Savior", "Hero of War", "Make it Stop", "Prayer of a Refugee" and most recently "I don't want to be here anymore"
Lyrics Sample:
"And too much blood has flown from the wrists,
Of the children shamed for those they chose to kiss.
Who will rise to stop the blood?"

4. K'Naan; Another artist known more for his commercial tracks but not the tracks that matter. Most know him as the man who sang "Wavin flag" as the FIFA WORLD CUP Anthem, Yet the original song was a one of struggle and the effects of War. K'naan is a Somalian refugee his music focuses a lot on what he went through to get out of Somalia and what people still face today. Songs such as "Somalia" , "I was stabbed by Satan", "Strugglin" and from his most recent album "Coming to America"
Lyrics Sample:
"I'm from the most risky zone - oh
No place is more shifty global
More pistols, Russian revolvers
We shootin' all that is normal
But it ain't just because we want to
We ain't got nowhere we can run to
Somebody please press the undo
They only teach us the things that guns do"

5. Lupe Fiasco; Lupe fiasco in my opinion is what is missing from many a rap artist today. Rap and I have a very old relationship from the first time I heard my first Eminem Album (though now days we have no idea what has happened to him). Lupe Fiasco these day makes music about all issues from saying how politics has screwed up what we say or do, How freedom of speech is no longer free. Songs such as "Dumb is Down", "Words I never Said", "State Run Radio" and from his Food and Liquor II Album one of my favorites "Around My Way (Freedom ain't free"
Lyrics Sample:
"Now you can say it ain't our fault if we never heard it
But if we know better than we probably deserve it
Jihad is not a holy war, wheres that in the worship?
Murdering is not Islam!
And you are not observant
And you are not a muslim
Israel don’t take my side cause look how far you’ve pushed them
Walk with me into the ghetto, this where all the Kush went
Complain about the liquor store but what you drinking liquor for?
Complain about the gloom but when’d you pick a broom up?
Just listening to Pac ain't gone make it stop
A rebel in your thoughts, ain't gon make it halt
If you don’t become an actor you’ll never be a factor
Pills with million side effects
Take em when the pains felt
Wash them down with Diet soda!
Killin off your brain cells
Crooked banks around the World
Would gladly give a loan today
So if you ever miss a payment
They can take your home away!"

6. Nas and Damian Marley; Though I love both artist and their music individually is incredible. There is something about their collaboration in 2010's "Distant Relatives" album that didn't give them a nomination or award for best rap album. Songs such as "Africa Must Wake up", "Strong will Continue" or even "My Generation" and "Patience"
Lyrics Sample:
"Tribal trouble
The drive by s double
Cause the youth dem nah go war
And go fight with knuckle
The two sides scuffle
Vietnam nah go a war
With no more kung fu nun chuckle
Missile and shuttle
Huh
And the queen of england and uncle sam
Dem a flex dem muscle
The tribal hustle
Blood diamond poodle
Survival struggle"

Guys have a listen to the tracks, and try taking the time out to listen to these artist and promote some of their songs that carry a heavy social message.

"What you should have on you iPod!" Part 3

Welcome back folks, sorry for the delay with the return to the program. Internet connectivity can be a bitch ...... and not an easy one at that.Plus I was actually trying to get some form of payment for all the Product placement I did and would do for future post. I was not even that Apple Logo to stick on my Laptop to make look cooler. I guess my only option left is for me to go and act Pricey at Microsoft to let them Advertise the Zune here. Anyway so where were we ??? Oh yeah on the Countdown!! We are in the Top 4 tracks the excitement Must be getting to you by now - *Literal Crickets Making Noise* - Don't everyone jump out of your seats together.

Well fuck it I'm Going strong, though this has been the best month for this blog all of 165 People viewed it. I still feel they might have stumbled on to it by mistake, sort of like the 1000 Rupees note you find on the floor that will pay for your drinks at the bar. For those calculating into dollars the going rate today is 60 Rupees to the Dollar so about $17. Please find a link to my Pay Pal account I will take all that you wish to give (Nothing less than ten Dollars or else........), Single Ladies I will also request phone numbers! (Helloji!) Just leave them in the comment section below. We'll WhatsApp. . . . ., You the know the calling cost the too much! Thenks! XD

Well on to the music Coming at number four is one of my all time favorite rappers, yes ladies and gentlemen we have the one and only Slim Shady himself ! . . . . . EMINEM ! . There are many things that we should appreciate about his music. Firstly come on anyone who has not though of it think about He's the first white guy to actually make it like really on his own (Beastie Boys were a trio! They had triple the strength) since after Vanilla Ice (Lets not get started on that!). So yeah back to Mr Marshal Mathers, He was discovered in Detroit by FBT Productions, run by brothers Jeff and Mark Bass, and recorded his debut album, Infinite which in my opinion is still pretty kick ass! It's cool and has a nice flow but didn't go off well commercially. It was not until 1997 that he met up with Dr. Dre another legend (Still D.R.E Mofo) and starting killing it starting with the Slim Shady LP that he released in 1999 (Ah what year! was only 11 years old). Last year he released his 8th Studio Album The Marshal Mathers LP 2, Which I was more excited about than anything else -cause my top three favorite Eminem Albums have to be Slim Shady LP, Marshal Mathers LP and The Eminem Show - I just feel there something missing still, though it was much better album than Relapse so maybe Eminem is getting back to what he does best! Beat down boy bands (One Direction and all that crap, In My day was N'Sync and Backstreet boys - How Fucking old am I?) and Pop Princesses (Em! Have you seen Miley Lately??? Come on there is a song in there). So I'll Leave you to the music ..... Ladies and Gentlemen I give the 1st Rap song I ever heard - trust me this was a hard choice - I give you "Brain Damage" from the "Slim Shady LP" - How Do you Beat Lyrics like this? , Find me a modern day rapper who can do that!
"My first day in junior high, this kid said,
"It's you and I, three o'clock sharp this afternoon you die"
I looked at my watch it was one twenty
"I already gave you my lunch money what more do you want from me?!?"
He said, "Don't try to run from me, you'll just make it worse..."
My palms were sweaty, and I started to shake at first
Something told me, "Try to fake a stomach ache it works"
I screamed, "Owww! My appendix feels like they could burst!
Teacher, teacher, quick I need a naked nurse!"

Well we are into our TOP 3 Song which are a must on your iPod or iAnything these combine of the best of the best songs. Songs that have changed the world or just helped that one person out when things just seemed really out of control. Music has this way to take people away for that hour or 2 hours when nothing else makes sense. The lyrics can provide advice, the tune can calm the mind to think straight and the artist for the 5 Mins of the song is speaking only to you. Music can change our perspective of how we see things and focus on what matters in the world such as Floyd did when the Berlin Wall came down. The Wall album is still on the top 10 greatest albums of all time.

So coming in at number three is band that at times saved me from losing my cool and temperament and has vented that anger for me through their Music. They are one of the leading Metal bands in the world with a fan following, that I might add would make most modern artist orgasm. Across all six continents (Not too sure of the Music Scene in Antarctica .... Might be cold!) they are known for their amazing sound and performances. One of the best bands when performing live. I Give you METALLICA!!! Performing "Nothing Else Matters" from the "Black Album" as this proves that Metal Music is more than just a guy screaming, there is a finesse that many miss out on!

That's it for the countdown today, I'm ending it as the next post will consist of the Top 2 tracks but I will not be choosing the songs alone. As I will be taking your advice in my choice of songs, I have a chance for you guys to help me decide what should be the Number one song on the countdown:-

"What you should have on you iPod!" Part 2

Okay so now back to the countdown, for all of 2 People who probably are interested in this blog one being a person who thinks this is a cooking site and is waiting for the next incredible recipe! ....

Moving on, by the way hope I gave people enough reason to buy a kindle! (Again product placement, I just get nothing out of it!).

So welcome back to Part 2 of my top 10 songs that you should have on your iPod / iPad / iPhone / iMac / iFuck (Patent pending). Coming in at number 7 we have an all time favourite of mine, these guys have been around for quite a while and have one of the most influential front men both in the Music industry and in Philanthropy!  Quoting Looktothestars.org

"Bono was inspired to get involved in charity work after seeing The Secret Policeman’s Ball in 1979. In 1986 he helped organize Amnesty International's Conspiracy Of Hope tour alongside Sting, who was one of the Secret Policeman’s Ball performers seen by Bono, Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed, and Bryan Adams."

U2's music inspired generations of musicians to do what they love. They have written some of the most influential and beautiful songs that still get people's hearts pounding when they hear it, including the original for "Mandela: Long walk to Freedom". "Joshua Tree" - "according to trust worthy source which is Wikipedia" (Words no college professor ever said) -  is acclaimed as one of the greatest albums in rock history, and many publications have placed it among their rankings of the best records, including Hot Press, Time, Q, and Entertainment Weekly. In 1997, The Guardian collated worldwide data in 1997 from a range of renowned critics, artists, and radio DJs, who placed the record at number 57 in the list of the "100 Best Albums Ever".In 2010, the album appeared at number 62 on Spin's list of the 125 most influential albums in the 25 years since the magazine launched.

Just one more thing we can thank Ireland for after St. Patrick's Day and Guinness beer......

So here you go from the "The Joshua Tree" album I give you "Where the streets have no name"

Hope you enjoyed that and if you did not, well sad luck carry on! So now I told my self that I would not pander to stereotypes and offer nonsensical, mundane and all round brain damaging gossip and still hold true! Instead let me just hit you guys up with the 5 Shows to watch out for this fall in my opinion will kick ASS! Other than Game of Thrones and Shows like that which already have a great fan following.

So here are the top 5 TV shows to watch out:- (YOU FILTHY STREAMERS AND DOWNLOADERS.... Much Love!)

Coming in at number we have 5. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Now that the Marvel universe to a certain extent is under one room there is much interlocking between movies and TV show going which to the Comic book fanatic that I am. Can't wait!!! Just waiting for that one episode that they get Iron Man on it!

Next up we have a new show that will be starting, might I give you at Number 4 "THE FLASH". The Story of Barry Allen and the Origins of the Flash : The Fastest Man Alive. Well With the Justice League movie around the corner and the DC world also exploding with its Hero tails the flash would not get left behind. This is a Spin off from the Arrow Tv Show which is another great Show to watch so lets see.

To all the Vampire, Werewolf  fans out there and not the Twilight loving ones of course cause well they have serious mental issues. Vampire glow in sunlight (Thank the lord! ..... Voldemort killed him in the 4th Movie Get it Lord, Voldemort Play on words? The Harry potter fan would have.) Coming in at number 3 you guys watch out for Teen Wolf, Yes many folks out there are laughing and saying what a douche! but the fact remains this stuff is pretty kick ass once you rid it of the adolescent crap, but if they took that out it would just be WOLF. So Season 4 of the show has started and the stuff is building so I am quite impressed.

Coming up next though I have never been a person to watch this show, my younger brother swears by it and he has impeccable taste when it comes to this. So coming in at Number 2 we have American Horror Story: Freak Show. I don't know much about the show but he says you can watch any season cause they never carry over so event if you have never watched this show start at any season doesn't really matter.

Finally at Number 1 we have a show that I waiting for more than finally losing those 30 Kilos I Give you Gotham. Set in Gotham city post the brutal murder of Bruce Wayne's parents it has Detective Gordon (Ben McKenzie) dealing with the origins of some of the most famous super villains like the Penguin and the Riddler , though what got my attention was when in an interview one of the people on the show said "you should stay tuned cause you never know when you might see the Joker for the first time". Basically its an origin story of how the Famous villains came to be while show the relationship of Bruce Wayne and Gordon from the start.

Now Back to the music coming in at number 6 we have something nice and relaxed for you folks. This artist has a certain effect on women as was displayed in the following picture....

As you have probably already guessed it our next artist is "John Mayer" with one of my favorite songs (Cause obviously it's my countdown). I'll try and take credit for this song but I have to give credit where credit is due, my friend Sid Mathur (Go check out his blog for some hilarious posts) introduced me to this song and I more often than not have had is on Replay in the middle of a Car - O - Bar Session with friends. So here it is, I give "Who Says" from the album "Battle Studies" Have a Listen!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls and anyone who will actually read this ............. I give you ...... Nothing cause well I'm broke and unemployed and do this just for fun! We are now into the Top 5 folks you know what that means........ Seriously? anyone any ideas? ...... Here we go coming in at number 5 is one of the Top Indie Bands, another band that was introduced to me by a friend, I give you Death Cab for Cutie. The first time I heard this band was when the O.C. use to be on television and they performed on it. I remember the sound just captivated me. So to end this Segment I have a nine minute treat that you will enjoy. Here you go folks I Give you "I Will Possess your Heart" from the album "Narrow Stairs"

Hope everyone enjoyed this segment of the show and will be back tomorrow with the second last installment of this Saga! But again a sign off from our sponsors!

"What you should have on you iPod!" Part 1

After my last "rant" i.e. what many  friends called my last post, its about time I just wrote something a little more relaxed on opinion - even though there is a strong point there - So today's post looks to just share what my TOP 10 Favourite songs are of all time. These are mix of both old school and modern tracks that in my opinion should be on every iPod (my version of product placement, and sadly I shall never receive any money for this ...... Hi Apple I'll take apple store credit too!!! .. No?? I guess Not!)

Counting down from Number 10 on Arjun's Countdown (Not the most original way to go about it) - Oh by the way people who know me are reading this post in my voice (If you weren't before you are now!!)

Coming in at number 10 is something light and easy but still a pretty kick ass track, for anyone born in the late eighties this song will bring back memories of that one person who in essence pushed you to do something you never wanted to. That one time you waited all day at the train station to meet her or to study with her (Damn I was whipped at a very young age haha!) So here it is folks I give you "She's Electric by Oasis" from the "What's the Story Morning glory Album"

So if this were actually a Radio talk show one would expect some form of music news or popular culture new but sadly it's not cause I never tried to become a Radio Jockey, If I had I would have been the best!! ....

Moving on, to number 9 well this is a tie ..... anyone who has a problem, can calmly take their rear end away (Go fuck you self, there I said it!). In my defence it's the same artist - which is 'K'Naan' - and the same album -which is 'Troubadour' - but they both make you feel two different emotions First is "Bang Bang feat. Adam Levine of Maroon 5" (SPOILER ALERT They are also on the countdown) followed by "Take a minute". "Bang bang" is more about the effect women have on men that feel like they shot us most of the time (It's not a sexist point of view before you raise your voice, we are the ones who feel insecure at times "GIRL POWER")

GOTH MEME in the HOUSE!!!
So yeah here you go first up is Bang Bang .... enjoy (Plus come on its a pretty kick ass party tune)

Going on to the other track we have "Take a minute" , K'Naan as an artist is know to speak of more political issues and at times has filled albums with it as he is a refugee himself, and to go back to my "Rant" just for a minute we need more musicians like this who provoke thought with what they have to say and not play into the superficiality that the world has learned to live with. As he says in the song:

"It ain't easy comin' out of where we from homie
and it's the reason why I can never play phony
Tell 'em the truth" is what my dead homies told me, ooh yeah
I take inspiration from the most heinous of situations
Creatin' medication out my own tribulations
Dear Africa, you helped me write this
by showin' me to give is pricless"

Here you it's take a minute by K'Naan ...... Folks just listen to what he has to say :)

So now in this part of the radio show I would probably play a preview track and give a review of the album so today's treat for you people is "Linkin Park's the Hunting Party Album" It came out a few weeks back but I wasn't doing this then so well there you go

I have been a Linkin Park fan since the beginning "Hybrid Theory" is still one of my all time favourite albums with some of most amazing songs that people still love. You had "In the End" "Crawling" "One Step Closer" even "Papercut" and since then most fans are still looking for that revival of theirs. Though in my opinion (that probably doesn't really matter "Meteora" was quite a good album that still made hits "Numb" to name a track. So after the last  few albums had been a bitter disappointment, not including Mike Shinoda's "Fort Minor" hit and run and  Chester Beninngton's "Dead by Sunrise" phase, I had very little expectation of their new album. Yet out of habit I played it so before I proceed let me give you a sample of one of their tracks

Though in essence its good to hear them go back to their Rock roots to a certain extent and yes it has become slightly heavier than the last two albums which is there to Like. you can't help but feel something is missing. you don't seem to get the same feel as that of "Numb" or "Breaking the Habit". You are left wanting more at times in the mix of things like they could start of slow with some of Mr. Haan's mixes then proceed further but all in all it's still a good come back album for the band. If i had to give them a rating I would give them a 3 out of 5 pint rating!

YEAH I GOT A BEER RATING !!!!

Cause well you know .......

Any who now on to Number 8 cause right about now I think I'm tired of typing! (This would have been a better idea had I actually started a Radio show) DOH!

At Number eight we have a classic one of the greatest tracks ever written and performed from the King of Pop himself Michael Jai Kishan, Sorry I meant Jackson, but come on wouldn't it just be awesome had MJ been Indian? We probably would have been saved from this beauty .......

So coming in at number 8 we have "Thriller from the album Thriller" M.J. making zombies cool before they became commercial:-

So this is where we take a break on this countdown..... Tune in tomorrow as we continue with Part two of this four part series. Come on! If your can wait for "Game of Thrones" and "Sherlock" for Years you can Surely wait a day to go on with the countdown. Even though this might not be as appealing but hey! Moving on :D

But before you go a word from our sponsors:-
